Five students and three graduates of the “Police Science” program at the Police Academy in Szczytno took part in a foreign Erasmus+ internship from June 28 to July 10, 2026, organized by the Jefatura Superior de Policia de Cataluña at the Complex Policial La Verneda in Barcelona. During the exchange, the officers had the opportunity to learn about the process of creating identity documents, handling cases related to human trafficking, and experienced the daily work of Spanish Policia Nacional.
They met with the police dog handler unit, and together with officers on duty in the city’s streets, had the chance to tour Barcelona’s underground. They were introduced to the organizational structure of the National Police and procedures concerning immigration cases. The students and graduates were able to compare how policing works in Poland versus the Policia Nacional in Spain. They improved their language skills and broadened their knowledge of Spanish culture.
