Five students and three graduates of the “Police Science” program at the Police Academy in Szczytno took part in a foreign Erasmus+ internship from June 28 to July 10, 2026, organized by the Jefatura Superior de Policia de Cataluña at the Complex Policial La Verneda in Barcelona. During the exchange, the officers had the opportunity to learn about the process of creating identity documents, handling cases related to human trafficking, and experienced the daily work of Spanish Policia Nacional.

From June 29 to July 2, 2026, the Police Academy in Szczytno hosted 10 representatives along with a supervisor from the Saxony Police University in Rothenburg (Germany).
During their stay, the participants met with the authorities of the Faculty of Security and Legal Sciences at the Police Academy in Szczytno, as well as with the university’s Erasmus+ coordinator. The guests also became familiar with the university’s academic and research facilities, visiting, among others, the Police Analytical and Research Center and the shooting range.
The program also included a visit to the District Police Headquarters in Szczytno, during which participants learned about the organization and functioning of the Polish Police at the local level.

From 15 – 26 June 2026, lecturers from the Institute of Criminal Service – Sub-Inspector Maciej Sosek and Chief Inspector Łukasz Rudzki – together with students of Police Science: Sergeant Anna Salomon, Sergeant Paweł Paszek, Sergeant Paweł Ryba, Constable Amelia Biernat, Constable Natalia Kajdana, and Constable Jakub Soliwodzki, took part in the international training course ”Multinational Peacebuilding Efforts in a Changing Operational Environment – Summer Campus 2026”, organized by the Military Academy in Skopje. The activities took place at the “Krivolak” military training ground in the Republic of North Macedonia.
The aim of the training was to prepare participants for operations within the framework of modern peacekeeping and stabilization missions conducted in a changing security environment. The programme combined theoretical classes with intensive practical training in an international setting.

Two graduates from last year’s Police Academy in Szczytno, in the field of criminology, along with a current student of Police Science, took part in foreign professional internship caried out under the Erasmus+ programme by the Police Academy in Szczytno. The internship took place from 15-26 June 2026 at the Jefatura Superior de Policia de Aragón in Zaragoza – an organizational unit of the Spanish National Police whose competencies are similar to those of Polish provincial (voivodeship) police headquarters.
The programme included lectures, presentations, and practical activities during which the participants learned about the structure and functioning of the Spanish National Police, the organization of duty service, operational procedures, and solutions used in combating terrorism, organized crime, and cybercrime, as well as ensuring public safety.

From June 15-19, 2026, Superintendent Marcin Buchholz, a lecturer at the Crime Studies Department of the Institute of Criminal Service, Faculty of Administration and National Security (WBiNP) at the Police Academy in Szczytno, carried out of Erasmus+ mobility exchange at the Police Academy of the Federal State of Lower Saxony in Germany.
During the visit, Superintendent Marcin Buchholz delivered lectures on the functioning of the Polish Police, the police training system, and crime-related issues. The initiative was carried out as part of the “International Days 2026 at the Police Academy of Lower Saxony” event organized by the German side.

From 22-26 June 2026, the Police Academy in Szczytno organized another edition of Erasmus+ Staff International Week, jointly prepared by the Institute of Prevention Service of the Faculty of Security and Legal Sciences and the Team for European Integration and International Cooperation. This year’s event focused on improving skills in first aid, advanced first aid, dealing with increased threats, managing stress, and conducting field operations.
The project brought together representatives of police universities and institutions responsible for public security from seven European countries: Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Lithuania, Spain, Latvia, and France. Participants included academic staff, students, police cadets, as well as, boarder guards, and gendarmerie taking part in Erasmus+ mobility programmes.

On May 12-14, 2026, The Police Academy in Szczytno hosted an academic lecturer from the State Border Guard College In Rezekne (Latvia), Mr. Janis Stafeckis, who visited our university for the second time within the framework of Erasmus+ mobility programme.
Mr. Stafeckis conducted classes for students of the Police Academy in Szczytno covering topics related to the European Court of Human Rights, social pathologies as violations of human rights, and contemporary criminological research focused on the protection of human rights in the processes of detecting offenders, preventing crime and humane treatment of detainees.

During the stay in Stavern, students from Poland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Germany and Ireland had the opportunity to get to know the advanced techniques of mental preparedness for service under the guidance of an international team of instructors coming, among others, from Iceland and Denmark. The training involved both, theoretical modules such as lectures and practical classes of breathing and muscles relaxation. Students were able to incorporate these exercises into various role-play scenarios in an extensive training facility on the Stavern campus as well as in a modern interactive simulator which is part of Norwegian university’s equipment.
