From June 15-19, 2026, Superintendent Marcin Buchholz, a lecturer at the Crime Studies Department of the Institute of Criminal Service, Faculty of Administration and National Security (WBiNP) at the Police Academy in Szczytno, carried out of Erasmus+ mobility exchange at the Police Academy of the Federal State of Lower Saxony in Germany.


During the visit, Superintendent Marcin Buchholz delivered lectures on the functioning of the Polish Police, the police training system, and crime-related issues. The initiative was carried out as part of the “International Days 2026 at the Police Academy of Lower Saxony” event organized by the German side.


The event purpose was to introduce third-year bachelor’s students from the Police Academies in Nienburg, Oldenburg, and Hann. Münden to the organization and working methods of police services in other European countries. The lecture topics covered crime-related issues, challenges facing modern police forces, cybercrime, domestic violence, and police training.


The visit to Germany was also an opportunity to exchange experiences on cross-border police cooperation and participation in international police missions. Among the speakers were representatives of police services and training institutions from Finland, Latvia, Sweden, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark.


The lecturer’s stay in Lower Saxony was a valuable opportunity for exchanging experience and developing language and teaching skills in an international settings.


For the Police Academy in Szczytno, this visit represented a significant contribution to the development of international cooperation, strengthening the institution’s position as an active participant in the European educational space and a partner in international experience-sharing in the field of police education.
