From June 29 to July 2, 2026, the Police Academy in Szczytno hosted 10 representatives along with a supervisor from the Saxony Police University in Rothenburg (Germany).
During their stay, the participants met with the authorities of the Faculty of Security and Legal Sciences at the Police Academy in Szczytno, as well as with the university’s Erasmus+ coordinator. The guests also became familiar with the university’s academic and research facilities, visiting, among others, the Police Analytical and Research Center and the shooting range.
The program also included a visit to the District Police Headquarters in Szczytno, during which participants learned about the organization and functioning of the Polish Police at the local level.
Important elements of the visit were practical classes, including exercises using the simulator under the supervision of lecturers from the department of Public Security Studies at the Institute of Preventive Service (WBiNP), as well as training in tactics and intervention techniques carried out together with students of the Police Academy in Szczytno.
At the conclusion of the event, a summary meeting was held, during which matters related to further cooperation under the Erasmus+ program were discussed, including the possibility of student and academic staff exchanges at the Police Academy in Szczytno. Both parties declared their intention to continue the cooperation and planned a return visit, which will be another opportunity to exchange experiences and carry out joint educational projects.
