Applications for first year of studies will be accepted from persons who have passed the high-school final exam (either new-form, old-form or an international high-school final exam) .
An individual who has graduated from any middle-school abroad can apply on condition that the completion certificate of such school grants the right to take a higher education course in Poland.
The recruitment process for candidates will be based upon the results of the recruitment steps including a physical fitness test (full-time students only), final high-school exam results in the Polish language, any foreign language and any of the following: math, social knowledge, and geography or history – in the case of the new-form high-school final exam.
The recruitment process for candidates will be based upon the results of the recruitment steps including a physical fitness test, final high-school exam results in history or social knowledge, and geography or math, and Polish or a modern foreign language – in the case of the old-form high-school final exam.
The physical fitness test for candidates is comprised of four stages:

• medicine-ball toss
• vertical jump
• run and vault
• shuttle run - 20 x 10 metres

Candidates can register on-line via the On-line Candidate Registration System.
Registering with the OCRS is mandatory for conducting a recruitment procedure, which is deemed valid upon:
1/ providing all required personal details and selecting a course
2/ payment of the recruitment fee for each chosen course and form of study and a bank confirmation that the fee has been successfully transferred to the Police Academy bank account
3/ providing a copy of the high-school final exam certificate upon the committee’s request – applicable to candidates who have passed the new-form high-school final exam
4/ providing a copy of the high-school final exam certificate and middle-school diploma upon the committee’s request – applicable to candidates who have passed the old-form high-school final exam
5/ providing the committee with a copy of the IB International Diploma translated into Polish by a sworn translator – applicable to candidates who have passed the IB International Diploma Programme
6/ providing the committee with a high-school final exam certificate acquired abroad along with a document certifying its equivalent status with the Polish high-school final exam certificate (issued by an Education Office in the candidate’s place of residence) – applicable to candidates who have passed a high-school final exam abroad.
Admission priority, within the established recruitment limit, will rely upon the overall score achieved in the recruitment process by the freshmen applicants. 
For applicants who have passed a foreign high-school final exam, the recruitment process will be based upon the results of an entry exam in geography and history, or social knowledge.
Winners and final stage contestants of knowledge contests on a national level are given the admission to the 1st year of studies according to the rules set by the Police Academy Senate.
Applicants who have the IB International Diploma will be given the highest achievable score both in the compulsory and ***non-compulsory subjects by default during the recruitment.

• admission rules for second degree studies in Internal Security

The second degree studies in Internal Security in the Police Academy in Szczytno are directed to all individuals – graduates of the first degree studies, the second degree studies and long-cycle studies whose current or prospective job (or service) is related to internal security in a broad sense.
Applicants suitable for the first year of study are as follows:

• a civilian who is a graduate of the 1st or 2nd degree studies or holds a Master’s degree of long-cycle studies;
• a police officer in their regular service who is a graduate of the 1st or 2nd degree studies or holds a Master’s degree of long-cycle studies, who has submitted a written application for studying at the Police Academy in Szczytno and the request has been positively considered by their superior for personal matters (a regional / metropolitan police chief, the Commandant-Rector of the Police Academy in Szczytno, a police school commandant, the National Police Chief);
• an officer of the Government Protection Bureau in their regular service who is a graduate of the 1st or 2nd degree studies or holds a Master’s degree of long-cycle studies, who has submitted a written application for studying at the Police Academy in Szczytno and the request has been positively considered by their superior for personal matters (the chief of the Government Protection Bureau);
• an officer of the Border Guard in their regular service who is a graduate of the 1st or 2nd degree studies or holds a Master’s degree of long-cycle studies, who has submitted a written application for studying at the Police Academy in Szczytno and the request has been positively considered by their superior for personal matters (the Border Guard National Chief, a chief of the border guard unit, a chief of the border guard training centre);
• an officer of the State Fire Service in their regular service who is a graduate of the 1st or 2nd degree studies or holds a Master’s degree of long-cycle studies, who has submitted a written application for studying at the Police Academy in Szczytno and the request has been positively considered by their superior entitled to promote (a city / county fire service chief, a regional fire service chief, the Commandant of a State Fire Service School, the National Chief of the State Fire Service, the Commandant-Rector of the Main School of Fire Service);

Admission priority, within the established recruitment limit, will rely upon the overall score achieved in the recruitment process by the freshmen applicants.
Recruiting candidates for studies is conducted on the basis of the results achieved by a candidate during the recruitment procedure. This consists in adding up the average mark received from examinations with the ‘studies average mark’ and the points received by a candidate as a result of curricula similarity, which is calculated with the pattern:
3 x ‘studies average mark’ + number of points received.
In order to start a candidate’s recruitment procedure, it is indispensable to register the person in the On-line Candidate Registration System and to submit the documents listed above in the Department of Organization of Studies and Training Process.
